Hi, Dr Shih,
"I wanted to give you my testimony for the orthodontic treatment experience I have received through your office, Jefferson Dental. I first have to say that I had many consults with several orthodontists, dentists, and even a few oral surgeons as my case was very extreme. I had a 7-8 mm overjet, a Class II malocclusion, and a lower jaw that is somewhat smaller than my upper jaw. Many doctors recommended that I have orthonagthic surgery and most recommended at least some teeth extraction. I was also given a timeline of several years to be finished with my case.
When I came to your office, I would have never even considered metal braces but was going to give Viazzi braces a try before giving up completely with braces. I am glad to say now that Viazzi was the best choice I have ever made. I was given a timeline of at least 2 years if I had worn regular metal braces or Invisalign, but with Viazzi braces, I was able to finish in only 8 months! Considering that I am over 18, that is even quicker than Viazzi's average claim to finish in half the time of regular braces. Now I have a Class I bite with almost no overjet, achieved without any extractions or surgery. Most of all, I do not have any TMJ symptoms as I did in the past. Dr Shih was very conscientious about making sure that my TMJ would not be exascerbated by my wearing the braces and made sure I was never in any pain throughout these last 8 months. He was always very patient and explained everything to me as things were happening with the wires, brackets, and powerchains. I think Dr Shih should be doing Extreme Makeovers for ABC. It was fast, easy, and painless and my teeth, gums, and roots are healthy as well. Now I can go back to acting/modeling and dating again!
